Microneedling
A small hand-held, automatic device that contains tiny micro-needles is passed over the skin, creating tiny micro-wounds, or channels, on the skin. During the body’s natural wound-healing process of these channels, collagen and elastin are automatically produced.
Recovery
After the treatment, your skin will be slightly pink and feel slightly sunburned. For most people, your skin will completely recover in 24–72 hours. Your body’s collagen production usually takes about 4–8 weeks, so you will continue to see improvements over this time.

How It Works
A Rejuvapen works by using tiny, precisely spaced needles to create microscopic punctures in the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing process to produce more collagen and elastin. This results in smoother, firmer skin with improved texture and tone.
There are three phases to the wound repair process:
Inflammation
Piercing the skin triggers your immune system to disinfect the wounds, remove debris, increase blood flow, and begin to create new tissue.
Proliferation
The wound is rebuilt with new granulation cells, as well as a temporary (type III) collagen and elastin, which are part of the extracellular matrix. Additionally, a new network of blood vessels develops.
Remodeling
The wound has been replaced with new dermal tissues and blood vessels. The type III collagen in the newly formed tissue is replaced with stronger type I collagen, which can contract to create a tightening or “shrink wrap” effect on the skin.
